*quick note: I appologize for missing a week and being tardy and such. This month is not very forgiving for me, so I might not be able to do very well this month.
ATP is the equivilant to gas for cells. Of course gas is expensive. Jsut like ATP. In the production, at least two ATP are needed to produce four ATP, leading to a net gain of two ATP. Of course hten it goes onto the final stage, and it produces a much larger amount of ATP then the preceding two. But then, this take two different forms of resperation. Could humans jsut live off of one form? Well since both forms produces more ATP then it requires, yes, humans could live off of just one form of resperation. It'd be difficult, but doable if humans didn't need to breathe to live. Of course, we do just use one form during exercise, producing plenty of lactic acid, making our muscles sore.
But what about cold blooded animals? Generally found in warm enviroments, cold blooded animals have chemical reactions that happen inside them. Those reactions happen faster or slower depending on the tempature of the creature. Compared to warm blooded creatures, they can be active, or slothful depending on the weather. The still need to breathe as well, but they can be jsut as active, if not more or less, then a warm blooded creature.
